PROFILEDr Etienne Horner offers private obstetric and general gynaecological care at TMCK. His main interests are the menopause, premenstrual syndrome, premature ovarian failure, low libido and recurrent miscarriage. Dr Horner delivers babies at both The Lindo Wing Suites St Mary's Hospital and at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children.
He is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust St Mary's Hospital. Prior to this, Etienne carried out extensive research under Professor John Studd at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, focused on hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) and the use of the Intrinsa testosterone patch. He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Swiss Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FMH).
Etienne says "Being Swiss and having trained at The Women's University Hospital in Basel, I regularly see French and German speaking Patients as well as those who speak English. My approach is holistic and I always put my Patients at the heart of all the big decisions about their care so that together we achieve the best outcome.".
Dr Horner lives in London and is married with three children. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, indulging his passion for modern architecture and improving his Spanish.
