Our Professional Approach

Our Aims

We view delivering healthcare as a partnership between the Patient, the Clinician and us.  We are committed to providing the highest quality care in an enviroment which is supportive, respectful and compassionate.  Every Patient who walks through our door is important to us.

We pride ourselves on a highly professional approach.  The Patient experience here is at the core of everything we do.  Here are a few examples of the way we work and which will give you an idea of our commitment.

We Are Registered With And Regulated By The Care Quality Commission

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission as an Acute Service so all Clinicians, whether Medical Doctors or Healthcare Professionals, are vetted and interviewed by our Medical Advisory Committee.  Those we consider will enhance TMCK are granted Practising Privileges, which are reviewed every 2 years.  www.cqc.org.uk

It Is Important That The Patient Is Seen On Time

We recognise that the Patient's time is valuable.  So we record the time that the Patient arrives and the time at which he/she is seen.  We review this information with all Clinicians to help them minimise wait times.

It Is Also Important That You Can Contact The Right Person Quickly

So we have installed call filtering software which gives you three options.  One for Administration where you can make an appointment.  Two for information about our Clinicians, Diagnostic Services and Women's Healthcare.  Three for everything else.

Independent Healthcare Advisory Services

We are members of Independent Healthcare Advisory Services, which is the independent healthcare sector's leading and most influential professional organisation.  It keeps us up to date with the constant policy changes in independent healthcare through a comprehensive monthly bulletin which includes a summary of safety alerts and other important information relevant to The Medical Chambers Kensington.  IHAS also plays a leading role in quality assurance in the independent sector.  As a member of IHAS we have access to the Independent Sector's Complaints Adjudication Services, so the Patient has the right to refer a complaint to independent external adjudication.  An adjudicator (referee), independently appointed from outside of IHAS and its membership, will coordinate the procedure and, if the complaint is upheld, will decide what remedial action is necessary.  This rigorous process of quality assurance helps ensure the highest standards of medical care at TMCK.  www.independenthealthcare.org.uk

Independent Doctors Federation

We subscribe to The Independent Doctors Federation, which is recognised as the voice of Independent Doctors in connection with private medicine, education and revalidation.  The IDF has close links with The Department of Health, General Medical Council, British Medical Association and the Royal Colleges.  The IDF also offers an appraisal service modelled on the NHS system and which is recognised by the General Medical Council.  www.idf.uk.net

Our Commitment To Diversity

London is one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse cities in the world.  This diversity among our Patients, Clinicans and Personnel is an asset to our organisation.  We value and respect these differences including ethnicity, nationality, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, economic class, age and disability.  We are committed to promoting a better understanding and appreciation of this diversity by respecting all persons equally.
