Dr David Nyberg is an internationally renowned expert in ultrasound and leads ultrasound diagnostic services The Medical Chambers Kensington.
David specialises in obstetric and gynaecologic ultrasound and is well known for his expertise in using prenatal scans to detect or exclude birth defects. He uses the latest equipment available, including 3D and 4D ultrasound, in order achieve the best possible ultrasound scans.
Dr Nyberg has authored and co-authored more than 150 medical papers on ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis and has written several authoritative textbooks. His papers have been published on early pregnancy and early pregnancy complications, including ectopic pregnancy, and he has given lectures across the world. David's research includes being a primary investigator for the FASTER (First and Second Trimester Evaluation of Risk) trial. This is the primary research that established the value of nuchal translucency (NT) and related testing methods for all patients in the United States. He was a primary author on the lead paper that examined these results, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Prior to joining The Medical Chambers Kensington David founded the Fetal and Women's Center in Arizona where he established a network of clinics to offer fetal screening, testing and genetic counselling. He was amongst the first physicians in America to offer Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), and has now brought this expertise to London. He also founded www.MyUltrasoundPacs.com and the Ultrasound Network; and has developed several educational websites for patients and physicians including Fetal Screening.
