Profile

Dr Kim Varma is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon with special expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of skin cancers, especially on the face, head and neck.

She practises in the NHS at Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of London’s renowned teaching hospitals, and privately at The Medical Chambers Kensington

Dr Varma has been practising as a Consultant Dermatologist for over 15 years and is very highly regarded for her expertise in dermatological surgery. She has particular skill in facial reconstruction using grafts and flaps, with a focus on treating skin cancers in high-risk or cosmetically sensitive areas. In every case, her priority is precision, safety and achieving the best possible cosmetic outcome for her patients.

Dr Varma studied medicine in Ireland before completing her specialist dermatology training in the UK. She went on to a competitive dermatosurgical fellowship at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where she remained as a Consultant Mohs Surgeon until 2016. Since then, she has held Senior Consultant roles across leading NHS trusts in Birmingham, Salford, Leeds and Edinburgh before returning to London to focus her practice on skin cancer surgery.

Her academic contributions include peer-reviewed publications, presentations at national and international conferences, and roles as peer reviewer for leading journals such as the British Journal of Dermatology and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology. She has also served as a certified clinical appraiser.
