Ros studied Dentistry at Sheffield University, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a dental hygienist.
She is dedicated to helping patients maintain healthy gums and teeth through expert dental hygiene care, and is passionate about educating patients on the importance of gum health and preventing gum disease. With her gentle and caring approach, Ros ensures that every patient feels comfortable and at ease during their visit.
Ros offers a range of treatments, including scaling (the removal of harmful plaque and tartar from around the gumline) and personalised advice on maintaining optimal oral hygiene. She also offers air flow, a technique for polishing teeth that involves a targeted jet of compressed air, water and a polishing powder. It allows the gentle yet effective removal of stains and plaque from the surface of teeth.
Ros recommends visiting a dental hygienist at least every six months to enable regular cleanings, and for the early detection and treatment of gum disease. More frequent visits may be needed for those with existing gum concerns or orthodontic appliances.
Children should begin seeing a hygienist early on to establish healthy habits and protect their growing teeth. For orthodontic patients, regular hygiene visits are especially important to prevent plaque and tartar build up around braces or aligners, ensuring both gum health and the success of the orthodontic treatment. Ros works closely with orthodontic patients to help them maintain a clean and healthy mouth throughout their treatment.
Patients can book directly to see Ros, and she offers evening appointments to accommodate busy schedules.
Outside of the clinic Ros enjoys reading, and playing the drums and guitar.
