The only issue was that I explained my severe allergies and I was prescribed an item that included a known allergen that causes anaphylactic shock. This could have been extremely dangerous for me. However the treatment and response to this issue was handled very well.

Dr Perera is the best! She is always so easy to talk to and understanding about my condition and I like that she listens and thinks outside of the box. Thank you very much, I appreciate your help!

Dr Perera is a Consultant Dermatologist at West Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust and Specialty Group Lead for the NW London Comprehensive Local Research Network. Dr Perera undertook her medical training at the University of Oxford Medical School where she gained her MA in physiological sciences and medical degrees in medicine and surgery. She undertook her medical internship at John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and the Royal United Hospital Bath. 

Dr Perera trained in Dermatology at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London in 2002 - 2012. In 2007 she was awarded a 1 year Biomedical Research Centre Clinical Training Fellowship in Translational Medicine and then secured a prestigious Medical Research Council (MRC) Clinical Training Research Fellowship to undertake a 3 year period of research on  psoriasis. She was awarded a PhD for by King’s College London in 2012.

Dr Perera’s research and clinical interests lie in the treatment of inflammatory skin disease.

  • Initial Consultation 20 minutes £250
  • Subsequent Consultation 15 minutes £200
  • Cancellation Policy. Full consultation fee unless cancelled a minimum of 24 hours prior to scheduled consultation.

Please note that if you have a minor procedure, such as removal of a skin lesion, a clinic fee will be payable to The Medical Chambers Kensington in addition to Dr Perera's fee.

This fee varies from procedure to procedure and our Administration and Reception Team will be able to tell you the amount payable for your procedure. A pathology fee will be payable if we send a sample to a laboratory for analysis.

If you are insured by BUPA, AXA PPP or another insurance company with which we have a direct settlement agreement, we will invoice your Insurer for these clinic/pathology fees provided that you have given us your preauthorisation number.

If we do not have a direct settlement agreement with your insurer, or you are self paying, we will ask you to pay these fees at the time of your appointment.
