Services we provide

What services do we provide?

Getting better  When you or your family are unwell, you need rapid access to your GP, fast test results and easy referral to the right specialist when appropriate. Your private GP is the “key player” with extensive knowledge of the best local resources to help you get better quickly. If your chosen GP is not available on the day you need to be seen, rest assured that we will do all we can to get you seen on that day or at the very latest the next day by one of their close colleagues who will have access to your medical records. We do not work with locum Doctors so if your personal GP is away, you know you will still be in good hands.

Diagnostic tests and referrals  Sometimes your GP will need to prescribe tests to assist with their diagnosis. At The Medical Chambers Kensington we are able to undertake a variety of tests, including blood test, swabs, resting ECG and ultrasound scans.

We are also able to liaise with other hospitals and specialist centres for diagnostic tests that we do not provide (x-rays, MRI scans, etc) and help you organise your appointment if you wish.
Our GPs are familiar with some of the best specialists In London and are therefore able to guide you to the ones best suited to your particular circumstances

Vaccinations  Whether you need childhood immunisations for your family, flu jabs or travel advice and vaccinations, our GPs can help. We provide all childhood vaccines and can follow the British schedule as well as the French one. We also provide the meningitis B vaccine (Bexsero) and HPV vaccine (Gardasil).

If you plan a trip abroad it is always a good idea to talk to your GP well in advance and make sure your travel vaccinations are up to date or that you have enough time to complete an initial immunisation course.

Information on the prices of vaccines is available here.

Official documents  You might need a GP to see you for a “medical” in order to complete official documents such as certificates, insurance applications etc. Generally you will need a slightly longer appointment with your GP to go through an extensive examination, as well as blood tests and other diagnostic tests. The requirements can vary so we will discuss this with you before your appointment.

If you require a French Doctor recognised by the French Embassy to complete official documents please let us know when you make your appointment.

Prescription renewal  In a number of cases your GP can renew your current prescription without seeing you and we can arrange for this to be ready for you. Please note there is usually a charge of £25 for this service.
