Private ultrasound scans in London

Whether you are seeking reassurance that your pregnancy is proceeding as it should be or need a fast and accurate gynecological scan we are here to help.

We offer cutting-edge private ultrasound scans in London, carried out by our highly experienced ultrasound specialist, Ciara McKenna, who is a leading expert in her field. She uses state-of-the-art technology to provide accurate, advanced images and a comprehensive, detailed report.

Specialist-led ultrasound scans

We provide specialist ultrasound scans for all stages of pregnancy. Pregnancy can be a stressful time, particularly if you have been trying for a baby for a while or are going through fertility treatment. Unlike the NHS, we provide early pregnancy scans from 5 weeks onwards, so that your pregnancy is confirmed as soon as possible.

From then on, we offer a comprehensive range of private ultrasound scans in London throughout your pregnancy, looking at all aspects of your baby’s development and your wellbeing.

At our clinic we provide 3D and 4D (video) ultrasound scans as standard, which allow us to capture images in the highest possible resolution. This detailed assessment of your uterus and ovaries gives you reassurance that you’ll have the most accurate information about the development of your pregnancy. We also use Doppler imaging to check blood flow through the major blood vessels and organs.

It can often be worrying if you are suffering from gynaecological symptoms, including painful periods, heavy bleeding or fertility issues.

Our advanced private gynaecology scans in London can help provide a highly accurate diagnosis and you won’t have to wait weeks for your scans and results. Your specialist will have immediate access to high-resolution images and a detailed report so that your condition can be treated and managed as quickly as possible.

We offer ultrasound scans to investigate many aspects of women’s health, including the following conditions and symptoms:

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible, and always make sure there is plenty of time to carry out a comprehensive examination and have a detailed discussion with our ultrasound specialist.

Most scans take a minimum of 30 minutes (early pregnancy/viability) to an hour (12 week and 20 week scans) or more if it’s a multiple pregnancy. This will allow you to make the most of your experience, fully discuss your results, and ask any questions you may have.

Why choose our ultrasound clinic?

At our clinic, you can always be assured that our team are leading experts in their field and carry out your scans using state-of-the-art technology. Whether you’re pregnant and need fast access to a 3D ultrasound scan in London or a detailed pelvic scan for an ongoing gynaecological issue, our gold standard ultrasound service includes the following:

You can come to us for an early pregnancy scan from week 5 to confirm your pregnancy. We can also exclude other complications such an ectopic pregnancy. From week 6 we can assess the viability and whether or not you are having a multiple pregnancy. This can be hugely reassuring, and we are happy to see you with or without a doctor’s referral.

We provide a 60 minute scan with a detailed assessment of your baby’s development and screening for Down’s syndrome and other physical or chromosomal abnormalities. You will be seen by our ultrasound specialist, who has extensive experience in early pregnancy scanning and in pregnancy complications and congenital heart defects.

This is a ‘head to toe’ examination of your baby’s anatomy, including the brain, heart and spine. We carry out a detailed assessment of growth, including the brain, body and limbs, and examine for any abnormalities. We also check the placenta, amniotic fluid and umbilical cord.

This scan can be hugely reassuring, especially if you have a medical condition – such as heart disease or diabetes – or if you have had complications during your pregnancy. Your baby’s growth and development will be assessed using the latest in 3D and 4D technology, providing peace of mind in the lead up to birth.

Our gynaecological ultrasound services are fully integrated within a consultant-led specialist team. We provide state-of-the art pelvic ultrasound scans, including 3D and 4D high resolution images. This comprehensive assessment can help provide a diagnosis for your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can begin as soon as possible.

We provide exceptional care, with enough time during your appointment for you to feel relaxed and comfortable. There are no long waits – you can make an appointment yourself, as soon as you wish, without any need for a referral.

Alternatively, you can see one of our Consultant Gynaecologists and they will organise a scan for you with our ultrasound specialist, Ms Ciara McKenna, as part of your appointment.

Ms McKenna is a highly trained women’s health expert, specialising in conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, menopause and infertility, as well as symptoms such as abnormal bleeding during perimenopause and menopause, pelvic pain and heavy periods.

Our ultrasound specialist, Ms Ciara McKenna, works closely with a team of women’s health experts, including leading Consultant Gynaecologists and GPs with extensive knowledge of gynaecological conditions.

Should you wish, you can also book an appointment with one of the team, who will work with you to create a bespoke treatment plan, based on the results of your ultrasound and a detailed consultation.

What our patients say about us

The appointment with Dr. Weatherall was more informative than any other headache specialist visit we’ve had. He conducted a thorough assessment of my daughter and clearly explained his recommended next steps. He gave us confidence in her current treatment and also suggested additional options, such as a specific neuromodulation device. Although I’ve done extensive reading and much of the information wasn’t entirely new to us, it was extremely helpful to hear his professional evaluation of specific treatments based on his experience and expertise. I am very glad we saw Dr. Weatherall and would wholeheartedly recommend him.

Feedback Company

My consultant was very patient and helped me with all my queries. I liked that he was able to look at my health overall and not make it about just the thing I went to see him for.
