Who is it for? Any woman who has had an abnormal smear test result or who experiences abnormal symptoms such as bleeding after sex or irregular bleeding.

 

How often? When needed. 

 

What can you expect? This is a simple and quick outpatient procedure during which your gynaecologist will use specialist equipment to examine your cervix.

Who is it for? Women who have been diagnosed with high-grade precancerous cervical cells upon cervical screening and colposcopy.

 

How often? When needed. 

 

What can you expect? A LLETZ is a Large Loop Excision of The Transformation Zone. This is a short procedure that removes abnormal cells from the cervix using a heated wire loop. The cervix is numbed with a local anaesthetic injection before the procedure.
