profile

Mr David Selvadurai is one of London’s leading ear nose and throat surgeons, specialising in ear diseases (otology) including hearing loss, hearing conservation and general ENT conditions in children and adults.

My favourite thing about being an ENT is the patients. We can help the vast majority of them, so it's lovely to be able to take someone through a problem and see them out the other side with a positive outcome.’ – Mr David Selvadurai

Mr David Selvadurai’s special expertise is in the management of ear diseases, including hearing loss, balance problems, ear infections and auditory implants and emergency treatments.  He also regularly treats general ENT conditions such as tonsillitis and sinus infections.

Mr Selvadurai is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the leading teaching hospitals in London. It is also one of the largest hospitals in Europe. He has been practising at St George’s for over 20 years, where he is Director of the Cochlear Implant Programme, which he started in 2006, and Surgical Director of the Bone Anchored Hearing Aid Programme.

Mr Selvadurai is also a Consultant ENT Surgeon at St Helier Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital for Children.

His in-depth expertise is founded on his extensive experience of a wide variety of conditions and treatments. He ensures that he stays at the leading edge of treatments within his areas of expertise and regularly lectures, teaches, and researches in the NHS.
