It was my first consultation with Dr Debar and she gave me a very good impression. She let me describe my symptoms, listened to my concerns and raised pertinent queries. I did not feel rushed and I was happy with her treatment plan and next steps.

Very good doctor. Listen to your problems.A real General Practitioner as it used to be. She look into your whole body to find the root of your problem. I highly recommend her if you have more than a seasonal flu.

Dr Safia Debar is a highly experienced family doctor (GP) with a passion for the neuroscience of stress and wellness. She incorporates stress management into her clinical practice where needed and adopts a holistic integrative approach. She is an established private GP, with over 15 years’ experience. Her special expertise includes hormone and gut health, executive screening, paediatrics and women’s health.
Named by Tatler as one of the top 20 Doctors in Britain, she is one of the few UK certified doctors to run the Harvard affiliated BHI Stress Management and Resiliency (SMART) Course. Combining stress management, neuroplasticity, attachment theory, epigenetics, mindfulness practices and a functional medicine approach, this course is a deep dive into the neuroscience of stress and wellness. She runs courses for individuals, groups and for numerous companies in the corporate sector.
Safia’s first degree was in Neuroscience and she then graduated from St George’s University of London with distinction. She completed her General Practice training at Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals and has practised in paediatrics, general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine.
She then spent a year teaching and conducting research on cardiovascular risk and bioinformatics at St George’s Hospital. She was awarded one of eight National Institute for Health Research fellowships and has undertaken a Master’s in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has published numerous research papers and presented at both national and international conferences.
